Not only should insulin be affordable (or free), but food products filled with chemicals that we know cause diabetes should be heavily regulated. Our food system is as corrupt as our healthcare system.

I agree with the last part. The food, water and air regulations in this country are not designed to protect our health but to increase profit. Even Saudi Arabia and China have better toxicity protections than we do.

The insulin would not be free but paid for by the taxpayer. I support universal healthcare. Yet we may not say healthcare then becomes free. Far from it. Saying the government will provide goods and services “free” is misleading politics.

Let's just make everything free.

It's okay to say sugar, you won't get canceled.

Tax corn syrup and cane sugar in processed foods/beverages to fund free insulin.

Yes, insulin needs to be accessible for all. But it’s scientifically inaccurate to say “food products filled with chemicals” causes diabetes - this is an oversimplification of something quite complex. Plus, suggesting so can do significant harm to a persons relationship with food

I totally agree that insulin should be free but what chemicals do we "know" causes diabetes Marianne? Source on that one please because it's NOT "common knowledge" among us that actually works wigh diabetic patients.

There is no health in healthcare.
