On the 20th anniversary of 9/11 it’s important to recognize the establishment’s spectacular failure in responding to it effectively. The only thing worse is if we let this moment go by without noting that. Waging war should now be replaced by waging peace. google.com/amp/s/www.vox.com…

Fresh off of the 2.26 trillion-dollar Afghanistan misadventure - with critics aplenty on the MSM covering it - you'd think there'd be more than a hundred people (tops) joining the No More Wars march on 9/11/21 in DC. We have a long way to go to affect even small policy changes🙄

I'd go a bit further on this. It wasn't just a blunder, or even incompetence. Calling it a spectacular failure would indicate that they tried in the first place to do something resembling the right thing. Everything they did "in response" proves—in reverse—why 9/11 happened.

It really would be refreshing to have a president declare peace.

Seems like we have been in perpetual war forever and crying for peace. I'm not sure our gov will ever stop finding wars to fund till enough say we won't fight them.

So true. Our response was war that killed millions for nothing and the degradation of our own society. George W. Bush belongs in prison.
