I don’t mean to be disrespectful but this has got to stop. Neither the Iraq nor Afghanistan Wars were signs of American leadership; they were military imperialism, and if our leaders won’t say so then we need to say so ourselves.
As time marches forward, it's our responsibility to remember, and to teach, and to listen to the stories of our teammates. We can't know what challenges the next 20 years will bring, but we do know this: America will always lead. #WeRemember911

I agree ... There was little leadership that brought us to Afghanistan ... No leadership brought us to Iraq ... and little to no leadership while we were in Afghanistan ... We destroied Iraq ... and created the wrong kind of Army and the wrong Political leadership in Afghanistan!

Oh don't worry, you are being disrespectful. Afghanistan had to be invaded since that is where the people who attacked us were, our issue was we did not focus on it enough due to the lunacy of our Iraq invasion. We should have just done Afghanistan and we would have ended it soon

There are many different methods & stages of war: blockades, propaganda, proxy wars, terrorism, invasions, occupations. The US didn’t end the war in Afghanistan, just changed stages for now.

"imperialism" WTF would you have done after terrorists tried to murder 50k Americans on 9/11/01? Send them money?

In response to losing 3000 innocent Americans we perpetrated wars that killed over a million civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. And we ended up losing those wars.

America has long seen itself as the “good guy”. A lot of people in the countries they’ve invaded a lot of the times on false pretences don’t always share that sentiment.
