Republicans have the elitist policies but ironically a more egalitarian relationship to its own constituency. Democrats have more egalitarian policies but an oddly more elitist relationship to its constituency.

The Duopoly has two heads & one goal: they serve the same masters. Imagine yourself in a dark room with two Cops (Good Cop, Bad Cop). The both draw their paycheck from the same source & both are trying to lock you up.

Lean MMT so we can take the good from both worlds and throw away the bad. The federal government has a lot more policy space than we are letting it use. Use it and it will grow.

Dems are definitely more elitist. Don't at all agree on the egalitarian policies. They do talk the talk--particularly by resorting to id-pol, but it rarely translate to (weak) policy.
