The market should not be society’s organizing principle; humanitarian values should be our organizing principle. From climate change to endless war to environmental toxins, it’s not hyperbole to argue that if uninterrupted the march of neoliberalism will literally destroy us all.

Are you acclimating to socialism or still enjoying notions of reformed capitalism?

There are elements of both in my notion of a transformed society. Using those words simplistically doesn’t help.

I'm not using them simplistically. Socialism is fundamentally against capitalism. Saying you wish to incorporate both at best means a welfare state that allows co-ops. There's a position to take where a social democracy can be used as a tool to ultimately overcome capitalism.

Taking the position of "some capitalism is good" says that we can purchase our way to equality, to justice, and combating climate change. Permitting capitalism in an end goal means preserving exploitative labor practices and resource extraction.

I question your political philosophy not bc I wish to drag you, but bc you so often say good things that come insanely close to admitting socialism is correct, but you refuse to cross that bridge because ?????? So: why are you so committed to capitalism?
