The market should not be society’s organizing principle; humanitarian values should be our organizing principle. From climate change to endless war to environmental toxins, it’s not hyperbole to argue that if uninterrupted the march of neoliberalism will literally destroy us all.

Humanitarian values lead to markets. You are correct in that it is not the other way around. No one should worship markets. We need to strive to instill our values in markets.

It is not the market but capitalism’s need for 2 classes that organizes our economy and policies. Only a socialist program can defeat the march of neoliberalism, which is leading us to water wars and barbarism. (You we’re right to say kill us all).

While the Republican Party seems to be the bastian of Neoliberalism ... Democrates aren't far behind ... the Democratic Party needs new leadership ... like FDR and Lyndon Johnson!

The Left and Right seem to disagree on what neoliberalism actually is but both certainly seem to be scapegoating it as of late

It might be the case that “organizing principles” in general can be a dangerous concept (many awful things have been done in the name of “justice” and other moral concepts)
