We already spend more money than, China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, United Kingdom, India, France and Japan COMBINED! ... Why do we need to spend another 24 Billion (just this year) on Defense?

Correction: we're not stupid. But there's a difference between a "robust" military, & one that's twice as big as any other in the world yet clearly has no particular strategic success during three wars in a row. Does more to hurt us in relation to those countries than to help us.
