I can name many "pessimists" who discovered the accuracy of the stars. But, spiritually, this is another matter.

Being a pessimist doesn’t stop one from finding truth, new worlds or creation. One can be ambitious, intelligent open minded and still be a pessimist. A healthy amount of pessimism can keep us grounded.
