One reason the debacle in Afghanistan happened is because reporters took what WH & Pentagon told them & never really asked questions, dug deep, researched & investigated. And they’re doing it now! They just take their word for things. “Here’s today’s report on how great we are.”

They should also be reporting that the Jan 6 insurrection was carried out by a Taliban-like group of people.

They are doing this with Covid and lockdowns now but this time Democrats are falling for it instead of Republicans

Corporate media is a complete failure of the principle of the Fourth Estate It’s a conundrum though. Corporate media *are* the hand that feeds them so how can they bite it?

They never question anything coming from the pentagon. They just report it as if it's fact. Look how many "ex" CIA they all have in their newsrooms.

That's not actually true: If the Afghan government & U.S. trained Afghan military fought & held the Taliban back the evacuation would've been quick & efficient. That's why the withdrawal was flawed. Nobody could've predicted that & that's why the evacuation was so messy at first.
