Spending that money on peaceful, life affirming things like healthcare, education, environmental preservation, transition to clean energy and rebuilding our infrastructure would fuel the economy even more and we would all benefit

So who made out like bandits during the 20 year war in Afghanistan? $300M/day spent when there was terrorism going on across the USA, with people being targeted and tortured for sadistic fun and profit, and the govt neither acknowledged or spared a penny for the victims.
