Texas set to pass voter suppression bill despite efforts of Dem legislators to stop it. But those efforts weren't vain; they helped people understand the importance of standing up to voter suppression, what's at stake & what it will take to stop it. theguardian.com/us-news/2021…

Trying to stop the democratic efforts of cheating is not voter suppression. Look where the cheating has Anerica today? If the election hadn’t been stolen, we wouldn’t be in this mess today.

The fact that the very reason I went to the south and risked my life in 1965 as a Civil Rights worker for CORE to help Blacks get registered to vote is now being turned back shows me how WHITE SUPREMACY still runs this country!! How SAD and SICKENING that is!!😒

I *really* hate it when you go by the media talking points instead of coming from a position of knowledge. There's nothing in there that suppresses any votes; the bill EXPANDS the ability for people to vote. Read the bill, in its entirety, PLEASE.

Wake me up when state and federal governments require an ID to vote. You need an ID for just about everything else. If we are not going to require ID's then I suggest we stop telling people that voting is important since ID's are the de facto sign of things considered important
