Given that we were wrong & we lost in Vietnam, we were wrong & we lost in Iraq, and we were wrong & we lost in Afghanistan, what will it take to smash the illusion that an unholy alliance with the military industrial complex & a $780 billion defense budget is anything but a scam?

It is so bizarre there are still people out there who don't know this.
The stop the War Machines that make millions of $$$, the Cheney War Machine in the Bush Era was an example. Watch on Amazon Prime; 'The Post' to see what a debacle the Vietnam War was. So many lives were lost including many friends of my older bro.

We were not wrong. We were LIED to. They didn't "make a mistake", grinding up our soldiers & others' civilians was intentional & part of the plan. Both collateral damage for corporate greed. It's not the bug, it's the feature.

I saw something recently, maybe the NY Times, that said something like 80% of the money we spent on the War on Terror, came back to the US in the form of profits for the military/industrial complex. One of the largest wealth redistributions in history. That's why the wars go on.

it’s not an illusion marianne, it’s very transparent. it’s just so powerful that there really isn’t much anyone can do about it. they have complete control of the media narrative and are pulling out all the stops to manufacture consent.

Those wars were all smashing successes for Raytheon and General Dynamics.
