I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

There’s nothing for me to deny. We should leave Afghanistan, I understand that. It was wrong to be there 20 yrs. But I know what was activating me when I agreed with his tweet. I’m not going to apologize like it was some terrible thing. I know where my heart was in that moment.

Your heart? Does your heart tell you defending women's rights means extending a conflict where at least 70,000 civilians have been killed according to Brown uni. civilians ,so women and children too. You justify their killing when you push this narrative without a timeline
