Every single man, woman and child who is now facing terror or death in Afghanistan, has a HUMAN and INTERNATIONAL RIGHT to seek refuge in the in the country that has been bombing and occupying them for two decades for profit before leaving them to die. This is not a debate.

The problem is that with the Taliban in charge, it’s roughly 20 million women now at risk of such things should they decide to leave the house unaccompanied by a male relative, speak to a male non-relative, not wear a burqa or try to go do something such as work outside the home.

Bush declared we defeated Taliban. Obama said we are leaving Afhanistan. Osama bin Laden was in Pakistan all along and we killed him. We decided to stay for another 10 years and still had no plan to evacuate informers and allies. Sleepy Jo did it while eating an ice cream

Marianne, you are probably my favorite public figure on the opposite side of the aisle from me. I do appreciate that you come to politics standing on your principles. I'd love to see see a conversation with you and my favorite atheist. Women's advocate @YasMohammedxx.

Of course this raises the question of why we funded & trained them, right? Of why it seems incredibly likely that we’ll get right back to paying them, if we ever really stopped, and have them direct energies towards China.
USA and Women are not a fit.
🇺🇸 USA as a nation, had 144,300 rapes reported in 2021. US Army had 35,800 sexual assaults reported in 2022 (with decreasing reporting as they admit). Up 13% from 2021. That nation, sends that army, to intervene in the world by brute force, for women? (and oil incidentally 🙄).
