I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

What you don’t understand is you’re repeating a goal shifting talking point to ensure we continue occupying a foreign country for another decade or more.

There’s nothing for me to deny. We should leave Afghanistan, I understand that. It was wrong to be there 20 yrs. But I know what was activating me when I agreed with his tweet. I’m not going to apologize like it was some terrible thing. I know where my heart was in that moment.

What is the solution then? There is no protecting those 20 million women without continued occupation.

First of all I am asking from a loving state of mind, what do you suggest we do as a country? I need to hear someone's opinion that I respect. I hardly keep up with news these days but when I saw on the Taliban in the Presidential Palace and the people escaping I have been sad...

Btw I am a fan of your's truly and have purchased a couple of your books. Much peace and love
You kind of are tho. Probably without meaning to. The sudden concern for the well being of those women is being used to justify something that is being done with no consideration or regard for their well being.
