I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

Your "comprehending" now for Afghan women? Where were you yesterday? Did you fight for PEACE? #NoMoreWars

They have to win these fights for themselves. We can't force people to become enlightened at gunpoint. We tried and failed.

Marianne, Afghanistan is not the only country with "problems" (as viewed through Western eyes). Do you want to keep our troops in occupation? What countries would you suggest we next occupy to stop oppression? When does it end? Serious question deserving of a serious answer.

I❤U Marianne However, we had 20 years to conjure up an exit Strategy and how to ensure safety for those we left behind. Instead we extracted the poppy from their fields and started 7 shadow wars. This was always going to end badly whether we left in 2004 or 3154.

37.5 million American Women, 25 million American Men, victims of sexual assault and rape by 21... We got a house here that needs cleaned... So chill with the holier than thou BS from this glass house.

@YasMohammedxx has been begging Western Liberals to speak more openly about the treatment of women in these countries for years. Your tweet is spot on. Where are the feminists on this topic. I was saying this last week.
I don't want to be in Afghanistan, but the results of leaving have downside too. Sometimes there are only bad options.

Did you worry about those women when you were supporting the slaughter of their sons their brothers their fathers their husbands - how many more need to be slaughtered for you to feel good about yourself - it’s an illegal occupation and our military has no right to be there

Seems we have a dearth of empathy. Maybe from too much trauma & worry. Too much media so comment like watching a show. For a brief moment, we seemed horrified then Biden gave us the excuse we were looking for-it’s their fault. We grabbed it. Humanity can’t survive w/out empathy.

Those women in Afghanistan are finally going to get a taste of what it’s like to live in the misogynistic hand maids’ tale scenario women are subjected to in the US by the evil right.
