I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

What's going on right now is a result of US intervention, the pyramid scheme of military corruption crumbled and, unfortunately, the wreckage is left to the Afghan people. 2 decades of occupation and no rail network is just one example of how the US never intended to help
