I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

We were unable to secure their future against the terror coming from Islamic world. It's written in Qur'an.

How many women are suffering worse in SA or Bangladesh or Myanmar or any number of awful places in this shit world. It’s sucks but our presence only exacerbates these things

What is your proposed solution? Should we send our thoughts and prayers?

Love ya Marianne. But were women and girls, ever truly any real part of the motivations. For going into Afghanistan? Why is it only now. That their suffering is being trumpeted? Do women and girls suffer horribly, anywhere else on the planet? When do we stop ALL of it?

No one I know is glossing over how life will be for women in Afghanistan. But it's no longer our fight. If Afghan women want liberation, they'll have to fight for it themselves.

That was used as an insincere excuse to justify the war in the first place. No one involved ever really cared about the women there.

We were not there for women's rights. I believe they should all be allowed to come here if they wish. (Obviously vetted)
