I understand those who think we should have left. I also understand some of those who think we should’ve stayed. What I cannot comprehend is anyone minimizing or glossing over the abject terror of 20 million women.

You could be glossing over the 4 decades of war in Afghanistan. This war needs to end and if this is how it ends, then amen to that.

If I thought for a moment that there was a force that was really working toward a humanitarian solution, a people sending troops for noble reasons, I would be rallying behind getting those folks in the fight. We are no there to help, and we never will be.

Because of work with veterans, I can’t look at the situation any other way than through their eyes. You’re talking about the terror of millions of women but what about the active enlisted men and women who died in vain? And most of the soldiers already know this. So, we are (2)

You think they haven't been under abject terror for the last 20 years? Or the 20 before that? Before America got involved in the 70's they were a more progressive country than America is today.
