I totally stand by what my tweet was saying. We needed public pressure on Biden to get him to send planes to evacuate more women. You might not think that’s “intelligent;” I do.

Are you trying to backpedal or double down? You seem a little bit confused…I’m glad you’re satisfied with the intelligence of your stance. If you’re going to turn a lot of people against you, it helps to have a lot of confidence in what you’re doing. I’ll give you that.

What exactly the wrong wording? Was it the part where you agreed with Bill Kristol about staying in Afghanistan? Or the part where you said that the occupation in Afghanistan wasn’t an occupation? And let’s not pretend that anyone here has a problem with supporting women.

Your support of Afghan women is laudable and appropriate. I think what bothers people is what you thought our reasons for being there were - because it had nothing to do with the fate of Afghan women. Not even a little. Resented you supporting that narrative.
