So many thousands of people dead and so many billions of dollars spent on a strategy that was clearly nothing but a stop gap. An extraordinary fail. But the worst part of all is how criminally negligent they have been with the exit. How many will die who should have been rescued?

Guess Who "Won" in Afghanistan / Iraq / Libya ?

It was NOT a stop gap on the way to helping people. It was always a robbery disguised as help. That’s why it’s falling so fast- it was an occupation. Insanity is thinking that the creators of the Taliban will help save Afghanistan from the Taliban

No. GET OUT. War is Awful.

Problem is not the exit. It's the pin drop silence and lack of spine. It's shocking to see US behave this way. Won locally and lost globally. Global leadership is now left with just two people. Modi and Putin.

Treating war as a business model is a part of the problem. We have to care more about people.

Imperialism always has and always will do more harm than good... If we leave it alone it will have a better end result than sending some people with AKs in.

We’ve had TWENTY gd yrs there to figure it out, an it folds like a rain soaked house of cards in a matter of days if not hours! Nothing we can do to truly improve the situation in a substantive way. Sometimes you’ve got to cut ur losses, and dragging that out serves no one!
