So many thousands of people dead and so many billions of dollars spent on a strategy that was clearly nothing but a stop gap. An extraordinary fail. But the worst part of all is how criminally negligent they have been with the exit. How many will die who should have been rescued?

Money for nothing? Can’t believe so. Money has gone somewhere. And that ain’t in Us contributors pockets

We created this mess ... and ... we are responsible ... We need to stop this insanity ... we have troops all over the world ... One more country won't make much difference to us ... However ... it will be life-saving for the Afghans!

No the worse part is the criminals won’t pay a single price and it’s because of ppl like you. What do you think we’re doing to Palestinians? Syrians, Cubans, Venezuelans, Yemenis? MIC doesn’t care anymore about ppl of other countries than they do Americans. Wake up

Um, about 174,000 Afghans have died since we started the war there - many of them completely innocent unarmed civilians. And that doesn't count the many many more who have been killed due to disease and poverty brought on by the occupation.

Before the US ever occupied Afghanistan, the CIA forked over billions to warlords like Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who was notorious for throwing acid on female students’ faces, in order to topple a Soviet-backed govt that tried to provide women with free education.
