So many thousands of people dead and so many billions of dollars spent on a strategy that was clearly nothing but a stop gap. An extraordinary fail. But the worst part of all is how criminally negligent they have been with the exit. How many will die who should have been rescued?

It the US government fault in the first place. There is so much damage that just leaving without a strategy is better than staying there and causing more death. Let the Afghan people self determine their own government. We have no business being there.

How many have died in Yemen? Or Somalia? Or Syria? We are done in the middle east. We should never have gone. We are done. Stfu.

ANY exit would've been catastrophic! Whether planned properly or unplanned!! So the question is , "How long is too long?" Do we keep the US there forever? Was 20 years not long enough!!?

I appreciate you but “The worst part of all” is inaccurate. This is completely awful but I won’t list here the many despicable events that have occurred (without media presence) in the last 20 years.

The USA has never cared about Afghan civilians, so why, after 20 years of occupation and resource theft, would it start caring about them now?
