Tell me again how this woman’s suffering doesn’t matter.
Incredibly powerful interview with @sahraakarimi in Afghanistan this morning on @BBCRadioScot - I've taken this excerpt below because it is so brutally honest and from the heart, but please do go listen to the whole thing. @Fionasstalker

If usa military invention could relieve suffering as you suggest then why did it invade Iraq knowing that war would kill, maim, make homeless half a million ppl and invent ISIS? Are women better off there now?

The US sleeps in bed with Saudi Arabia, regardless of abuse & killing of women, gays, journalists. Please tell me more about how imperialist US will make the world better with their military?

Tell me how you aren’t manufacturing consent for war when we don’t do anything to improve their rights?
Before the US ever occupied Afghanistan, the CIA forked over billions to warlords like Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who was notorious for throwing acid on female students’ faces, in order to topple a Soviet-backed govt that tried to provide women with free education.

Sound to me like the Kuwaiti girl lying about babies being taken out of their babies incubators and throw on the floor by Sadam Hussain forces in Kuwait!!! A lie in congress!!!

There are thousands upon thousands of Muslim women and human rights activists who can better improve her conditions than the US military can. That's the bottom line.

Shall we invade Saudi Arabia next because they stone women to death who are just accused of adultery? How far are you willing to take this? What about Iran and the forcible wearing of the hijab?
