Tell me again how this woman’s suffering doesn’t matter.
Incredibly powerful interview with @sahraakarimi in Afghanistan this morning on @BBCRadioScot - I've taken this excerpt below because it is so brutally honest and from the heart, but please do go listen to the whole thing. @Fionasstalker

We can't even change our own culture to get rid of hatred and you think we're going to change theirs?
Replying to @marwilliamson
You're mistaking the villain for the hero. The U.S government doesn't end suffering, we're the cause of it.

This is the same exact technique they used to prevent police reform in this country.

Tell me again why you believe that the country that carefully cultivated the Taliban, ISIS & al queda wants to help women. You are seeking foreign policy advice from PNAC - the women haters testosterone & money club. You fail to grasp reality.

It matters. But after 20 years the forces we've trained aren't even putting up a fight. Should we stay even longer? Don't have any good answers, but the Afghan women have strength & perseverence, & they're in the world's spotlight now. We can keep them there, & push for reform.

You're right we should kill thousands of Americans to help her

You are so easy to manipulate Marianne. U also probably believed back in the 90s that Irak was throwing babies on the floor in hospitals so US had to invade. Fool me once...
