Tolerance of systemic violence against women can’t be justified in the name of anti-imperialism, helping other human beings isn’t “a savior complex,” and leaving the most powerless & desperate people to fend for themselves in the hour of their agony isn’t political sophistication

Frying pan to fire.
This is what the U.S and their allies have been doing for the past 20 years in Afghanistan. Gunning down people like this innocent man walking with his prayer beads. Terrorist asks “Want me to drop this c*nt?” then deploys 3 bullets to his head at close range. 💔

We've got oppression in spades in the US. Should another nation occupy and bring democracy to this country? You pretend to be enlightened but, clearly, you're not.

This position is wildly naive. Do you really believe this? In its violent imperialist adventuring the US has only ever been engaged in the singleminded pursuit of resources and land on behalf of private interests. History exposes the speciousness of the humanitarian pretext.

US imperialist war machine does not operate to protect women. Not even the women who serve in its military.

We have been there 20 yrs, so doesn't that make us part of the "system" in "systemic violence"? If not, we certainly are not helping the situation by participating in violence against women while we are there. Get out

30 million people have been displaced by American foreign policy in the last 20 years. 30 fucking million.

America needs to fix things at home first. Diverting 50% of the military budget to tackle climate change, reparations and homelessness via an immediate UBI and social housing would be a good start

But if you were silent about the violence OF US imperialism against Afghan people, including women, before now, then you were part of that problem. And that is true all over the world where the US uses tropes like "defending women" & "fighting terrorism" for their endless wars.

Our moral superiority over other nations is laughable. We let our own people die, leaving people behind to suffer, don't uplift our own people out of destitution and bomb poor people everywhere. You want to feel bad for Afghani women, fine, feel bad for women in ICE facilities.
