But you AREN’T helping them. You’re stripping them of sovereignty, you’re keeping them in a constant state of conflict where ppl distrust the US (for good reason). The best thing the US could’ve done would have been to not fund the taliban in the first place & take refugees.

Please read the Afghanistan papers and tell me if you really believe we’re occupying that country for anything related to women’s rights. If we tolerate women’s rights abuses from SA who execute women activists don’t tell me that’s the reason for the longest US war in history

War is not a policy tool. Certainly not a humanitarian policy tool. (I can’t believe I’m telling YOU this). It’s neither legitimate nor effective. The historical record of military intervention and occupation is misery and death all the way down.
