Consider that what used to be secular & tolerant has become radicalized, for no other reason than our own interjections there for at least the last 75 years or so. In other words, we caused this. All of this. And the best thing we can do now is stop messing w/ the Middle East.

Marianne, I think the main point here is that the U.S. certainly isn't the best arbiter of human rights, by any means, and given the actual corruption behind military conflicts, the U.S. doesn't succeed in spreading "liberty" to other countries. U.S. makes shit worse, always.

Wow did not expect this from you. Also there has been systemic violence against young boys under the former us supported gov. So much so it became a joke. Systemic violence can not be solved by occupation. They have deeper issues to solve and we cant do it for them.
