We could have kept 3500 troops in Afghanistan and kept a decent status quo. The Biden Administration chose withdrawal. We’re seeing a humanitarian catastrophe and geopolitical disaster unfold, and now, humiliatingly, have to send 3000 troops in to get the remaining Americans out.

If the US cared about Afghan women it wouldn't have armed the Mujahidin to overthrow the socialist PDPA gvt, which was educating girls & giving women more equal rights. Afghanistan had a real women's rights mvt & the US trashed it for geopolitics' sake. You should rethink this.

That was a lot of years ago, before the Taliban. Women today shouldn't have to suffer because the US was wrong in the 1980's.

How exactly does killing Afghans by US drone strikes while making the military industrial complex trillions of dollars help women again? Just trying to get it straight in my head... War is a racket, this war, the last war, & the next war included! #NoMoreWars

Bless your heart, you still appear to think that the US can be a force for good in the world? The USSR got it right in the 80's when they set up a socialist "secular" government which the Jihadist & CIA trashed. Any outside help should should come from Russia or China.

I mean, Breonna Taylor wasn't a lot of years ago. Should the Taliban allow the US to keep treating women like that?

No one thinks they should. We can’t stay there propping up a fake government forever though.

Why isn’t arming the Afghan army enough to protect women and children? Maybe because we also fund the Taliban through Pakistan

So the military industrial complex is doing godly benevolent work in Afghanistan protecting women and children? That is what you believe has been happening there for the past 20 years?

In what multiverse does US robots raining terror down from the skies do anything for fixing suffering. You are attaching a positive thoughtform intentionally onto the greatest cruelty on earth. How do you think mass rape of Afghan girls by Americans has effected women rights

That directly led to the creation of the Taliban, who share beliefs, goals, and tactics, training, and US backing. The US has turned Afghanistan into a warzone and killed hundreds of thousands, only strengthening the Taliban. The Afghan people need to do this on their own.
