I understand the argument that 20 yrs was enough & it was time to leave Afghanistan. That's the president's call. But the exit should have been done with far more care & w/ far more safety provided for those who had helped us. @POTUS can still make this right and he must #ACTNOW!

Replying to @saxstrowski @POTUS
Not incredible at all. First three principles of peace creation are: greater economic opportunity for women, more education for children, and reduction of violence against women. Silence about systemic violence against women in the name of anti-imperialism is bogus.

Then why, Marianne, are you silent on Joe Biden? Why are you silent on Kamala Harris and the rest of the Democratic party?

Okay, but what are the American principles of war? Because from where most of us sit, it's move in, build a base, stay forever, invent reasons for both failing in all missions and continue to stay forever. Where does protecting women fall in those principles?

Whew, Ma'am, you are 100 percent on point with this and I am in shock. Thank you for speaking up & sorry about the abuse you're about to get from the hammer & sickle cult. #WomensRightsAreHumanRights

You are becoming less yourself and more a rhetorical mouthpiece of ideology every day. Do you feel what that is doing to your soul, Marianne? I know what it does. It deadens it. You will increasingly care more about causes and less about actual individuals.

US soldiers raped countless women in the Balkans war, the Iraq war, etc. Please, stop with the insanity. US military *always* deploys systemic violence against women. So what the heck are you on about?!?

What principle of peace involves drone strikes?

Per your logic, US should have long intervened in Saudi Arabia. Women's rights was never a priority for US foreign policy anytime.

The 3 basic principles of UN peacekeeping are: consent of the parties, impartiality, non-use of force except in self-defence and defence of the mandate
