It's not just the media doing the manipulation, their accomplices include the DNC, the majority of Democrats and Republicans in Congress, rank and file centrist Dems and right wing GOPers, etc.
The media has manipulated the political narrative to cast those who simply want as many people as possible to be able to live dignified lives as wide-eyed radicals, and those who are unmoved by the rapid disintegration of both our democracy and planet as sober-thinking moderates.
