The “bipartisan” infrastructure deal couldn’t spare even $1 for housing. But @SenShelby wants to add $50 billion for the Pentagon: $25 billion for Navy shipyards, billions for nuclear labs, and more. That $50 billion could pay for 5.6 million public housing units.

Maybe if we really want voting rights to pass we should tie it to a $300 billion Pentagon budget increase? Totally worth it to me.

We need to stop wasting so many billions every year on ever better ways of killing poor folks far away in endless wars fought only to profit the US ruling class and focus most of that blood money on helping folks live better here in the US and California.
