When all the votes were actually counted Al Gore had won the election in 2000. The Supreme Court basically stopped the Florida count and gave Bush the presidency. Had Gore won we would have started a needed war against climate change and not a tragic war against Saddam Hussein.

We need climate action NOW. We cannot rely on vague pledges with distant deadlines. We need concrete plans to phase out fossil fuels in the near term. As the scientists at the @IPCC_CH make clear: there is no time left to waste.

Al Gore didn't even win his own home state. Florida could have gone either way. The problem is we were headed toward a constitutional crisis and Al Gore did the right thing and dropped the lawsuits.

I agree if Al Gore would've been president our planet would be well on it's way to recovery by now. But the court only cared about putting a disaster in the w.h. which cost us 2 wars that were totally unnecessary & a planet on the brink of annihilations of human beings & wildlife

Unfortunately, I don't believe that. I think Gore, like Clinton, Obama, and Biden, would have given lip service to climate but would have absolutely done exactly the same thing as W did. BUT, Nader wouldn't have been demonized and we could have kept building rather than spend
