I’m sure the landscape architectural plans are there somewhere. We have to put it back to the way Jackie designed it. Private funds were raised to ruin it and private funds can be raised to put it back the way it was.

When we saw how terrible the Christmas trees looked, why, oh why, would we allow her in the Gardens?

They're plants. Does it really matter?
If Michael Beschloss had shown the garden when the roses and other flowers were blooming, his picture would look much different. Yes, the crabapple trees were removed. I don't know why, but I also do not know the life expectancy of a crabapple tree, or if they were blighted.
Jackie didn’t really design it. Bunny Mellon worked with a landscape architect that she hired to create the reality of the Rose Garden. Not one penny of public funds were spent. But JK was the inspiration. It was her fine taste that made it sing.
It was NOT ruined stop pushing lies and BS
Why don’t your search for facts.
ABC-When the restoration was announced, the first lady's office said in a statement it would renew Rachel Lambert Mellon's original 1962 design and improve drainage, infrastructure and Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility. Lol. Such blind hatred abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/…
Better stick to your line if work. You clearly know NOTHING about landscaping.
