I’m sure the landscape architectural plans are there somewhere. We have to put it back to the way Jackie designed it. Private funds were raised to ruin it and private funds can be raised to put it back the way it was.

This wasn't Jackie Kennedy's design. It was designed by Rachel Lambert Mellon at JFK's request. While I don't love Melania's new design we have much bigger issues to deal with than a green space that is still green.

Unfortunately, Marianne…it will never be the same. Some of the rose bushes were chosen by First Ladies and I’m not even sure if some of them even exist anymore! What Melanie did to the Rose Garden was criminal, in my opinion. 🌹💔

I was devastated - angry - when I saw the butchery of the gracious rose garden replaced by that tasteless flowerless uber manicured greenery. An act committed during one of the worse times in our country when there was no need to overspend on a whim.
