Our salvation isn’t going to come from left, right or center; it won’t come from a part of the brain that even relates to that. It’s going to come from a coalition of conscience & decency & love, drawn from every category of race & religion & ethnicity & sex & socio-economics.

FDR was rich. Bobby Kennedy was rich. For that matter, Buddha started out rich. Someone’s suffering and ability to relate to the suffering of others is a more reliable indicator of their political values than how much money they have.

I agree, being able to relate to others suffering is the key its just a shame that having money is such an impediment to that understanding. Buddha only achieved understanding after he rejected his riches, maybe we can help the rich in the same way by taking away their money?

Friedrich Engels came from a rich family, but he explicitly used that wealth to advance the communist cause. The only rich people I like are class traitors. No Roosevelt or Kennedy has ever done that.

Bobby Kennedy only became truly sympathetic and in touch with the suffering of Black People because of his grief after his brother was shot.
