We can transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy and from a war economy to a peace economy, but the political status quo depends on our not doing that. The status quo will not disrupt itself; that's our job.

How do we build up numbers enough to make that disruption? Every disadvantage is setup against change by the design of our government. Mass media is staunchly on the side of oligarchy. The deck is stacked against both democracy and liberty.

It’s not the design of our government that’s a problem; it’s the perversion of that design that’s the problem. It’s the money in politics that’s the cancer underlying all the other cancers.

I agree that money is a huge part of the problem, but we have huge design issues as well. Two largest issues: The makeup of the Senate cannot be changed by an amendment. Plurality elections will always result in two party dominance. Both issues are inherently undemocratic
