We can transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy and from a war economy to a peace economy, but the political status quo depends on our not doing that. The status quo will not disrupt itself; that's our job.

The Democratic Party will never do any of this. We can't save ourselves until we break our minds free from duopoly capitalism. We must hurt capitalism every way we can. Stop consuming luxury crap, stop buying non-essentials. Buy local. Barter. Turn off the mainstream media.
