I hope that you’re not understating the importance of internet in this age?! I had students whose parents had to take them to sit outside fast-food restaurants with wi-fi so they didn’t miss virtual lessons.

All politics are local. In 2012 as a State Senator, Turner backed a plan to divert property tax dollars from CLE public schools to private charter schools over objection of CLE teachers union. Unions haven't forgotten.
