The police acted illegally. Everyone has a right to be on the sand in California. I wish some folks would take up a case against the police on behalf of the homeless.

1/2 You are pointing a rifle at someone who is homeless? Beyond reprehensible! There needs to be a homeless bill of rights..now. It should include the right to not have a weapon pointed at you, to be housed, to not have ur personal belongings taken away or destroyed...
Disgusting is being too kind. They should be bringing counselors and therapists, social workers for those with mental health issues and should have a bed in a safe place for every homeless person.
