These days I still hear my 7th grade social studies teacher telling us gerrymandering was a corrupt practice in the past like carpetbaggers and robber barons gone for good due better laws....

Agreed, at the time I didn't like her but she taught me solid civics ,history and constitutional principles that stick with me to this day. I've studied those things at advanced levels and still hear her teaching the basics. Kudos Mrs. Gibson where ever you may be.
