If they lose, they have an excuse to not govern, and can just fundraise against them all day long. Also, the “moderate” to right-wing dems can support the QOP agenda, which aligns with their own.

A part of them doesn't want to act because it will offend their donors. I live in GA and there was no down ballot movement in our assembly so the 2-1 margin GOP chambers will be drawing up my state very soon.

Fundraising. It’s always more lucrative to be the underdog. It’s all about the money on both sides of the aisle.
