Ensuring every American has a roof overhead is a value that unites the Democratic Party. That's why I led a relentless campaign to extend the CDC eviction moratorium. In an act of pure cruelty, Republicans blocked this measure — leaving children and families out on the streets.

In the face of this partisan obstruction, @HouseDemocrats join @POTUS in urging state and local governments to immediately disburse the $46.5 billion in emergency rental assistance approved by the Democratic Congress, so that many families can avoid eviction.

Democrats believe in safe and affordable housing for all as the country recovers from the pandemic and we #BuildBackBetter. The Biden-Harris Admin and @HouseDemocrats will continue to search for solutions to protect vulnerable renters from eviction during this crisis.

While you are “searching for solutions” millions of those vulnerable renters are being traumatized as a direct result of failed leadership on this issue. You search… but never find. In far too many cases it’s what we have come to expect.

1 Are you aware (asking sincerely)that almost all other nations subsidized salaries at 70, 80, & 90% during Covid AND they have healthcare?
2 I am asking to give you context; Dylan Ratigan says it is not dereliction of duty by our govt. (as he described it months earlier). This is policy; an act of "aggression" by the govt. against its' own citizens! youtube.com/watch?v=gC-oTDEn…

3 Every family facing eviction should see this program. Why?They will realize on a profound level how it is not their fault;protests will be a great deal less forbearing; they will see Dylan is not a conspiracy theorist & "our" govt. is far more nefarious than they ever imagined.
5 If by some Miracle of the Creator every member of Congress lost their healthcare you would see how fast healthcare for all happened;members would move heaven & earth;budgets would be re-prioritized;money taken from the military; only when issues are personal is there urgency

6 When the AIDS crisis started members of Congress were disinclined to fund research for a cure; when members of their own family started having HIV then there was urgency to expedite research.
7 In short there would not be a need for an eviction moratorium if "representatives"took care of their constituents; stood up to the "cares" act, twice. youtube.com/watch?v=gC-oTDEn…
