Too bad you weren’t, like, Speaker of the House or something so that you could’ve done something about that.
Ensuring every American has a roof overhead is a value that unites the Democratic Party. That's why I led a relentless campaign to extend the CDC eviction moratorium. In an act of pure cruelty, Republicans blocked this measure — leaving children and families out on the streets.

@SenSchumer needs to make sure this is extended in the infrastructure bill. Keeping a roof over your head is clearly infrastructure. The House failed, the Senate cannot.

True...AOC made that point loud and clear on Friday night. This wasn't a surprise to anyone. It was brought up a month ago and tabled. Pelosi actually claimed she was surprised by the date?

Speaker of the House doesn't have the authority to force states to disburse the money that was allocated for rentalassistance. If you want to blame someone, blame state governments who aren't using the money made available for rental assistance.

The value of letting people be evicted is to sustain the bottom rung of an unfair socio-economic system. Some believe it should be this way. I say adopt a new paradigm in which this tier is supported until the can they can support themselves & contribute, resulting in more GDP.
