$15/hr minimum wage, UBI, free college, canceling college loan debt & Medicare For All: they’re not government handouts; they’re economic justice. It’s government’s job to provide the average person with a fair shot at making it in what has become an economically merciless world.

I wouldn’t mind if they stopped spending the rest of our money so irresponsibly!

It’s the govt’s job to provide the average person with a fair shot…..shit…I didn’t take nearly enough LSD this morning to reach parity with this statement.

If majority decides on Ubi.... We can eliminate many forms of welfare and substitute the $1,000 a month Ubi that @AndrewYang spoke of. We can get rid of Section 8 housing and we can get rid of SSI to name a couple.. And make it fair by giving everybody that $1000 a month.

Major piece on your list above that I have opposition to is canceling loan debt. How can you value one person's debt more than another? If I have debt from buying tools for my business, why is my debt not as valid to relieve?

I feel you are potentially misusing what economic Justice is and or should be defined as. I consider the point of reparations for those who have been tossed in prison when they victimized nobody - for things like drugs, gambling and sex work which were consensual between adults.

a different way to phrase this to reach an additional audience is that a solid social safety net and ladder to success (education) is a good long term investment.

Appreciate your engagement! There is a moral hazard to be considered which is very real. There is a balance. If society goes too far with ANY wealth transfers a gaming problem is triggered. Great unintended damage is possible here. Be very careful.

For the last 4 decades, our media, Reagan, and a few others have convinced too many Americans that government is the problem, while the ultra rich make out like bandits at everyone else’s expense.
