Nowhere in America can someone working full-time at a minimum wage job afford a 2 BR apartment. If we had given everyone $2k/mo during the worst of the pandemic, the eviction crisis might not be the humanitarian disaster it is now. “Go get a job” is cruel advice.

Plandemic, Marianne. Start looking at the big picture regarding the stoking of fear and the control aspect. This is so much bigger than any of our personal situations, including my son and his mental illness.

I don't agree with you muc but I agree with you here. Don't forget, minutes after they voted down relief for the American People they then voted to send BILLIONS to other countries. Democrats and Republicans alike have sold us out to the international community.

Gotta have less recriminations and cynicism. Who will pay landlords? What to do about those who refuse vaccine, ushering in Delta & killing economy again? Where is huge stimulus going & who's tracking? We have work to do ... together.

In order to get help to pay rent from the 45 billion dollar HUD stimulus program, you have to show that you couldn't pay your rent because of Covid. Only 1.5 billion of those dollars have been spent.

They were getting $16 an hour which equals to $1600 a month. Plus many qualified for extra assistance.
