I honestly don’t know how they could do this. Congress leaving town without extending the eviction moratorium is such a “Let them eat cake” moment; I’m concerned it will go down in history in much the same way as the first time it was uttered.

Middle classers need to review all the platitudes they threw at the poor. Expect NO mercy today. We got what the middle class demanded.
I hope it does. I think that's what it's going to take to get a do-over.

I thought they would have had tenants pay escrow-only from now until things are officially (new) normal then resume with full rents (or whatever, if any new system we have) with fewer negatives then extend the mortgages on the back. Ending the moratorium like this is just cruel

Instead of congress telling people not to pay money to other people they owe it to, and who may actually need the money, maybe they should stop effing up the economy with with their hysterical Covid BS!

They do this because they are so confident that at the end of the day, they’ll get away with it. Absolutely nothing will happen to them and guess what? They’ll still be raking in tax payers dole and millions will still be homeless. That’s leadership, right?

Because they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!! If this so called pandemic was so serious WHY are they allowing people into the country ILLEGALLY!!!????

Until people wake up and realise that both parties are corrupt and begin moving towards a 3rd party ...all of this is moot...

More evidence Congress is there for themselves and theirs. Only.

No. You don't know what you're talking about. I own property for which I have not been paid rent since the pandemic started. I am NOT rich. I need the money, and I have had NO recourse, whatsoever. AND, I know for a fact the tenant has been working. #blowhard AND...

Really? You don't know how they could? When in history has the government ever cared for its people over profit? How many times have politicians sides with Big Business over people?
