I honestly don’t know how they could do this. Congress leaving town without extending the eviction moratorium is such a “Let them eat cake” moment; I’m concerned it will go down in history in much the same way as the first time it was uttered.

There's a thing called landlords; most of them are just middle, working class too. A lot of them, at least. They are the ones with minimal money for lawyers to get creeps/bad tenants out of their property that they have to pay a mortgage on. It's a delicate issue.
