What was the point of busting our as*es getting Democrats elected if they can’t do a simple thing like protect voting rights? Biden should call for the Senate to delay its August 6th recess until enough votes can be mustered for the For the People Act.

The irony is if Dems worked meaningfully for the people, they’d get elected more! As hard as they worked against Bernie, one must conclude losing to the GOP isn’t too much of a problem for them.

From the lens of both parties support ruling class agenda - if Republicans secure perpetual office through voter suppression it relieves the Dems of pesky questions about why they aren’t pursuing necessary and popular agendas like M4A / GND / economic justice etc
