You don’t have to be anti-capitalist to recognize that global capitalism has been weaponized, used too often as a tool by which to subjugate the poor. As many lives as it has lifted out of poverty it has thrown into despair.

Global capitalism also means countries like the US take the wealth (through things like the IMF/World bank) which throws more into poverty in poorer countries while enriching the West. It isn't a tool to subjugate, the subjugation is a side effect of its implementation.

It is but the natural progression of capitalism, when enough wealth is accumulated/vacuumed on few enough hands, that they reach partial/full control not just over economy but govt and that happened quite a while ago and is only further cemented every day.
